Sara E. Englert

Sara E. Englert, 93, of Blanchard, Pa., passed away on Aug. 25, 2025, at the Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living Center.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1931, in Jacksonville, Pa., to Henry F. Moore and Eva I. Raemsch.

She went to Lock Haven High School and graduated in 1950.

Sara was a homemaker in her own home and enjoyed gardening and crafting, while caring for her daughter, Kimberly.

She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church where she had been active as a Sunday school teacher for many years and was part of the Women’s Missionary Circle.

She was also a member of the Forget-Me-Not Garden Club and the Friendship Circle.

Sara is survived by her husband of 75 years, Harold R. Englert; her son, Harold F. (Brenda) Englert; grandchildren, Meisha (Matthew) McDermit, Aleisha (Nathan) Jarrells and Lindsey Englert; and great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kullen, Abel, Christian and Chase.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly G. Englert; her sisters, Virginia (Moore) Thompson, Regis M. Moore and Regis I. (Moore) Waltz; and her brothers, Malcom, Wilbur, Meril, Clair, Earl and Clyde Moore.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living Center.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa.
