Robert D. Carey

Robert D. Carey, 83, of Lock Haven, passed away Sept. 7, 2025, at his home in Deep River, Ontario.

Bob was born in 1942 in Renfrew County, Ontario, where he spent many of his young years at his grandfather’s side scouting bush fire.

Bob was a member of the Ontario Provincial Police force, retiring after 30 years of service.

Upon retiring from the OPP, Bob spent most of his time at his camp along the Dumoine River in Quebec. While serving as a caretaker for the Dumoine Rod and Gun Club, he made many life-long friends. He was invited to hunt white tail in Pennsylvania, where he fell in love with the land and with his beautiful wife, Connie, who survives.

Bob is also survived by three daughters, Tamara (Everton) and Tanya Carey, of Canada, and Colleen Carey Yost, of Lock Haven; as well as a step-son, Mark (Kristal) Temons, of Mechanicsburg.

Papa will be remembered fondly by his grandchildren, BJ and Mattingly Yost, of Lock Haven, Kianna, Henry, George and Korinna, of Mechanicsburg, and Jessica, Jade and great-grandson, Marcus, of Ontario, Canada.

Services will be held in Deep River at the convenience of the family (after moose season).
