Robert Merrill Brungard

Robert Merrill Brungard, 74, of Loganton, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 23, 2025.

Born Dec. 17, 1950, in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Harold and Christine (Bierly) Brungard.

Robert was a 1968 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School and a 1970 graduate of the former Williamsport Area Community College.

He retired as a mechanic/welder from PennDot after 30+ years and also worked part-time at Central PA Auto Auction.

Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman.

On Oct. 24, 1970, he married the former Mary Lamey.

In addition to his wife, Mary Brungard, of Loganton, he is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Sherrie) Brungard, also of Loganton; his daughter, Melissa (Brungard) Gregory, of Dumfries, Va.; grandchildren, Brandon (Hailey), Cole and Dawson Brungard and Joseph (Tori), Teressa, Daniel, Catherine, Elizabeth and Grace Gregory; great-grandchildren, Axel and Bowden Gregory; his sister, Jane (LeRoy) Rossman, and her family; and two aunts, Mary Winner and Alma Seyler.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at 3 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, Booneville, with Pastor Brenda Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Loganton.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
