STRUNK — Donald Lee Strunk, 73, of Howard, died Sept. 25, 2025. Friends will be received this evening from 5-6 p.m., at the Wetzler Funeral Services, Inc., formerly the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard. A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the family’s convenience.

KARSTETTER — Marie E. “Chub” (Nicholas) Karstetter, of Loganton, died Sept. 28, 2025. A viewing will be held this evening from 6-8 p.m. in the church, and also on Thursday morning beginning at 10 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 10 W. Main St., Loganton. Final interment will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Loganton, Pa.

MYERS — Marjorie V. Myers, 95, formerly of Avis, Pa., died Sept. 28, 2025, in Hamburg, N.Y. Funeral services will be held at the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa., on Friday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, McElhattan, Pa.

EVANS — Joan Evans, 104, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., died Sept. 27, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m., at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

HASTINGS — John “Jack” Hastings, 88, of Bellefonte, died April 2, 2025, in South Carolina. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jack’s life on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Faith Church, 512 Hughes St., Bellefonte. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., with the Celebration of Life service starting at 2 p.m., followed by refreshments.

DeCAPRIA — Vhittorio Nicholas DeCapria, 14, died Sept. 25, 2025. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a gathering of family and friends until 4 p.m. at the Thompson Street Football Stadium, Jersey Shore, Pa.

COPENHAVER — Marcia J. Copenhaver, 87, of Lock Haven, died July 21, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m., at God’s Eternal Life Church, 50 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, with a luncheon to follow.

BINGER — Harry Harold Binger, Jr., 87, of Lock Haven, died Sept. 23, 2025. Family and friends will be celebrating his life at Community Baptist Church at 1853 PA-87, Montoursville, on Friday, Oct. 10, at noon. Friends are invited to call beginning at 11 a.m.

McCLUSCIK — Anthony S. McCluscik, 70, of Snow Shoe, died Sept. 9, 2025. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe.

HAYES — Daniel Hayes, 77, of Lock Haven, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven, with a luncheon immediately following.

SMITH — Gerald Hosterman Smith, formerly of Aaronsburg, died Sept. 3, 2025, at The Oaks in Pleasant Gap, Pa. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Oaks in Pleasant Gap, 200 Rachel Drive, on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2:30 p.m. Gerald will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with military honors in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.

NOVOSEL — Lois Novosel died on Feb. 22, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall with inurnment at Jacksonville Cemetery, Bellefonte.

HARRIS — Mary E. Harris, 85, died July 21, 2025. Services are being planned and will be announced at a later date by Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home in Jersey Shore.
