Harry W. Bottorf

Harry W. Bottorf

Harry W. Bottorf, 58, of Nittany Road, Castanea, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025.

Harry was born in Somers Point, N.J., on May 16, 1967, and is the son of Larry and Barb (Gramley) Bottorf, who survive.

On June 13, 1992, he married Tracy (Stevens), who survives.

He was a 1985 graduate of BEN High School and worked at First Quality for 2 1/2 years. He worked for Croda for about 26 years prior.

In addition to his ex-wife and best friend, Tracy, Harry is survived by a daughter, Mackenzie Bottorf, of Castanea; a son, Chase Bottorf, of Williamsport; two brothers, Bret (Lisa) Bottorf, of Lock Haven, and William (Jen) Bottorf, of Rote; a sister, Bobie Brungard, of Mill Hall; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Harry’s whole being was filled with all walks of life. Everyone who passed him by was greatly affected by his shine. His support followed them along with his compassion.

Harry was a one of a kind soul. As an eldest child, he cared for his family in one way or another. Whether it was helping to build a deck, mowing a lawn or just being a shoulder to lean on, he was always there with a helping hand.

But what he cherished most were his children. He was so proud of the young adults they became and what they’ve accomplished.

When he was free from daily routines, he adored his time golfing, hunting, fishing and spending vacations along the Cape Hatteras beaches.

A passion for sports never left his side. He always supported his favorite football teams, whether it was the Minnesota Vikings or the Clemson Tigers. Every August, he cheered on all the hopeful kids playing their hearts out in Williamsport’s Little League World Series.

His memories ran true and stuck with him till the very end. The memories made alongside those he cherished with a full, heavy heart.

A public Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 1, at 11 a.m., at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall, Pa., with Pastor Mark E. Riley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Harry’s name may be made to Make-A-Wish America: Make-A-Wish America Gift Processing Center, 1702 E. Highland Avenue, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
