JOYCE WINKLEMAN-O’BRIEN

Joyce A. Winkleman-O’Brien, 63, of Renovo, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Born Nov. 16, 1961, in Renovo, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Dorothy Eschenbach Winkleman.

She was baptized at First Methodist Church, Renovo.

Joyce enjoyed everything about nature, whether she was camping, birdwatching, gardening or tending to her plants.

She looked forward to each new season of her favorite television show, Survivor.

Most cherished, though, was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren who were her world.

Surviving are her children, Shelvia McDermit-Slota and Darryl McDermit, both of Renovo; a goddaughter, Jessie Taylor-Kramer, of Williamsport; her siblings, Dorothy (Butch) Getz, of Renovo, Debra McDonald, of Lock Haven, Jean Winkleman, also of Renovo, Kenneth (Jody) Winkleman, of Mill Hall, and Linda Moyer, of Lock Haven; her grandchildren, Nisaya, Gregory, Kylee, Molly, Emma and Nyla; and a great-grandchild on the way; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Otto, Michael and Shawn Winkleman.

Per her wishes, services will be at the convenience of her family.
