Stephen C. Hackenberg

Stephen C. Hackenberg, 66, of State College, passed away peacefully on Oct. 26, 2025, at the Greenwood Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Lewistown, Pa.

Stephen was the son of Ronald Hackenberg, Sr. and Patricia Hackenberg, of Rote, where he spent his childhood.

He was a 1976 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School, and worked as a potter at Grandville Hollow Pottery in Julian before his retirement.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Hackenberg, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Hackenberg, of Rote; two brothers, Ronald (Darlene) Hackenberg, Jr., of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Richard (Tammy) Hackenberg, of Elizabethtown, Pa. He is also survived by four nieces who dearly loved their “Uncle Steve.”

Stephen was a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

There will be no public services.
