Constance L. “Connie” (Caruso) Shoemaker

Constance L. “Connie” (Caruso) Shoemaker, 86, of Lock Haven, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg.

Born April 29, 1939 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late John “Patty” and Joanne (Grenoble) Caruso.

Connie was married on Aug. 1, 1957 to John E. Shoemaker, Jr. who died Oct. 22, 2015. They celebrated 58 years of marriage together.

She worked as a supervisor for the Pa. Dept. of Welfare for 25 plus years.

She was a member of St. Agnes Church and was a former church lector.

Connie was a 1956 graduate of St. Agnes High School. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.

Surviving are one son, John E. (Kim) Shoemaker, III, of Pleasant Gap, and a daughter, Joan E. (Miron) Meyer, of Loganton.

Four grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Michelle and Michael, and seven great-grandchildren.

The service will be private at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.

Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall has charge of the arrangements.
