Danny L. Greendoner, Jr.

Danny L. Greendoner, Jr., 53, of Beech Creek, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025.

He was born on Nov. 13, 1972, in Lock Haven, and was the son of Danny L. and Donna (Glenn) Greendoner.

Following 13 years of perfect attendance, Danny graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1991, and later from Pennsylvania College of Technology.

On May 9, 1998, he married the love of his life, or as Danny called her, “my bride,” Cindy (Bechdel) Greendoner, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.

Danny proudly served in the United States Army. He began his career as a Corrections Officer at SCI Rockview, later transitioning to the Department of Corrections K-9 Unit until his retirement in 2023.

He was a member of the Beech Creek-Blanchard American Legion, Post 623, Clinton Country Club and Little Rock Run Hunting Camp.

Danny was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He liked to travel with his family and could often be found in front of the TV watching sports, such as the Phillies, Steelers and Penn State. One of his favorite ways to unwind was sitting around the campfire with friends, telling stories with a drink in hand, all night long. His true passion, though, was golfing.

Danny could often be found at Clinton Country Club, as both a member and employee. When he wasn’t playing, he took immense pride in serving the golf community, giving his work ethic and dedication to the golf course.

Danny is survived by his two daughters, Mackenzi and Cassidi Greendoner, who were his world. He was extremely proud of them, and they will forever remember him as a devoted and loving father and their hero.

In addition to his parents, Danny and Donna Greendoner, of Blanchard; his wife, Cindy Greendoner, of Beech Creek; and his daughters, Mackenzi and Cassidi Greendoner, both of Beech Creek; he is survived by his brother, Denis (Beth) Green, of Massachusetts; his sister, Debbi (Todd) Miller, of Marsh Creek; mother-in-law, Ellen Bechdel, of Beech Creek; sister-in-law, Wendy Bechdel, also of Beech Creek; brother-in-law, Fred (Robin) Bechdel, of Howard; nieces, Brittany Barner, Katrina Miller and Lila Green; nephews, Forrest and Logan Bechdel and Andrew and Sammy Green; great-nephews, Declan Bechdel and Ryker Miller; a “brother-from-another-mother,” Brad Smith, of Beech Creek; and many, many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, at 4 p.m., at the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek, with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating.

Military Honors as well as a service by the SCI Department of Corrections Honor Guard will follow.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, from 2 until 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Vested Interest, an organization whose mission is to provide bullet/stab protective vests and assistance for law enforcement K9s, through the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
