Lynn Diane Anderson (Getz)
Lynn Diane Anderson (Getz) passed away peacefully at The Williamsport Home in Williamsport, Pa. on Dec. 24, 2025.
Born on July 11, 1953, in Renovo, Pa., Lynn was the daughter of the late John Getz Sr. and Margaret Getz (Heck). She was a 1971 graduate of Bucktail Area High School.
Early in her career, Lynn worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the nursery at Lock Haven Hospital, where her caring nature was evident from the start. She later devoted herself to raising her family and became a trusted caregiver to many children throughout the Renovo area. Through years of love, patience and kindness, she earned the cherished nickname “Mama Lynn.”
Once her children were grown, Lynn worked as a secretary at Croda Chemical in Mill Hall. No matter where she worked, she was known for her warmth, reliability and genuine care for others.
Lynn’s greatest pride and joy were her granddaughters, Kiara, Lily and Charleigh. She was lovingly known as “Gigi,” or as she liked to say, the “gorgeous grandma.” Her love for them was endless and unmistakable.
She was married for over 50 years to her loving husband, Charles “Chris” Anderson, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion and family.
Lynn is survived by her husband; her three children, Erin McGonigal (Brent), of Mill Hall, Michele Meehan (Chris), of Montoursville, and Erik Anderson, of Williamsport; her brothers, John Getz, Jr. (Vicki), of Blanchard, and Dennis Getz (Amy), of Kingsley; sister-in-law, Ellen Anderson, of Renovo; and a sister-in-law, Beth Getz, of South Renovo, and many special nieces and nephews.
Lynn loved cooking and baking, especially hosting family holiday dinners that brought everyone together. She was a member of North Bend Methodist Church, the Red Hats and Renovo Women’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Getz Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bucktail Medical Center and Renovo Emergency Services.
