Charles F. ‘Chuck’ ‘Thunderchicken’ Mowery

Charles F. “Chuck” “Thunderchicken” Mowery, 62, husband of Amy (Winans) Mowery, of Rebersburg, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at Edenbrook North, Williamsport, Pa.

Born in Williamsport, Pa. on Jan. 10, 1963, he was the son of the late Frederick E. and Clara L. (Knepp) Mowery.

Chuck honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was a 1980 graduate of the Williamsport High School.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. He was a Philadelphia Eagles football fan and enjoyed 4×4 trucks.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three sisters, Debbie Stahl-Smith, of Rhode Island, Julia Freeman, of Wellsboro, Pa., and Michelle Hall, of Williamsport.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2025 at 1 p.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 East Main St., Loganton, PA with Rev. Grant Helsel officiating.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Final interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa., on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at 12:30 p.m.
