MOWERY — Charles E. “Chuck” Mowery, 62, of Rebersburg, died Jan. 1, 2026. Final interment services will be held today at 12:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

BOOB — Esther M. Boob, 89, of Loganton, died Jan. 5, 2026. A visitation will be held this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Loganton Wesleyan Church, 4972 Long Run Road, Loganton, Pa. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, at 10:30 a.m., at the church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Rosecrans, Loganton, Pa.

SNOOK — Barry L. Snook, 78, of Snydertown, rural Howard, died Jan. 4, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m., in the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to the services.

KERSTETTER — William “Bill” Kerstetter, 91, died Dec. 12, 2025. Please join his family as they remember him and celebrate his life on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Rote United Methodist Church, 102 Beagle Road, Mill Hall. The receiving line will begin at 2 p.m. , with a service at 4 p.m. Family and friends are all welcome.

HAUSER –Dawn M. Allen Hauser, 63, of South Williamsport, died Dec. 10, 2025. A memorial service celebrating Dawn’s life will be held at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 229 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by the memorial service beginning at 12 p.m.

YEARICK — Earl N. “Gov” Yearick, 78, of Centre Hall, died Dec. 29, 2025. A public viewing will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefone. Funeral services will be held beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Walker Township, Centre County, Pa.

COURTER — Perry C. Courter, Jr., 62, of Lock Haven, died Jan. 5, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 3 p.m., at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall, Pa. Family and friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

UMSTEAD — Russell W. “Russ” Umstead, Jr., 89, of Lock Haven, died Dec. 20, 2025. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, Jan. 16, from 10-11 a.m., at the St. John Evangelical Church, 229 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at the family’s convenience.

WEAVER — Ronald J. Weaver, 82, of Bellefonte, died Dec. 4, 2025. Friends and family will be received on Jan. 17, 2026, from 10-11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Bellefonte. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 11 a.m.

TARANTELLA — Alieta J. Tarantella, 73, of Renovo, died Jan. 4, 2026. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m., at the North Bend Cemetery, 207 Main St., North Bend, Pa.

BIERLY — Walter S. Bierly, 85, of Jersey Shore, died Dec. 28, 2025. A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
