GEORGE JONES

George R. Jones, 61, of Lock Haven, Pa., passed away on Jan. 12, 2026, at Haven Place Rehabilitation and Senior Living.

George was born in Bradford, Pa., to the late Gene A. Jones, Sr., and Gloria J. Fullerton.

He went to Lock Haven High School and graduated in 1982. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Hawbaker Construction.

George enjoyed dart leagues, attending pitch tournaments, riding his Harley, hunting deer and rattlesnakes. He also enjoyed buying and selling cars.

George was always talking about sports and school, and how he excelled at football and wrestling. He loved coaching midget league football.

He was a member of The Fraternal Order of Masons.

George is survived by his sister, Gloria Barrett, of Clayton, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Thomas Feldt and Gene A. Jones, Jr.

Funeral services will be private and under the direction of the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC., 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa.

Burial will take place at Woolrich Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
