Pete T. Kwiatek

Pete T. Kwiatek, 74, of Green Valley, Ariz., passed away on Dec. 19, 2025, at Banner University Main Campus Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., with family and friends by his side.

Pete was born in Lock Haven, Pa., on July 7, 1951, to Zygmund J. Kwiatek and Joyce Bridgens Kwiatek.

He was a 1969 graduate of Lock Haven High School. Pete attended Penn State University and earned a BS in Biology in 1973.

He was employed by First Quality Tissue in Lock Haven, Pa., as a Chemical Manager, retiring in 2018.

Pete was an avid Penn State Football fan and ushered at home games. He was a member of the Bellefonte Elks and Nittany Country Club and was also a proud member of the Quail Creek Desert Duffers in Green Valley, Ariz.

On Sept. 14, 1979, in Lock Haven, Pa., he married the former Carol Kneedler, who survives. Together they shared a loving marriage of 46 years.

Pete is survived by his wife, Carol Kneedler Kwiatek, of Green Valley, Ariz.; two step-daughters, Deb Galitski Rhoads (Doug), of Green Valley, and Kristen Galitski Van Allen, of Waxhaw, N.C.; a step-grandson, Davis Patrick Van Allen, of Waxhaw, N.C.; two sisters, Bonnie Harter (George) and Sandra Barner (Jimmie), both of Mill Hall, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his pet cat, Bella Rose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zygmund J Kwiatek and Joyce Bridgens Kwiatek Heineman; a brother, Kurt J. Kwiatek (Kim); and a son-in-law, Dale Patrick Van Allen.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Green Valley, Ariz., at a later date.
