Robert A. ‘Bob’ Johnson, Sr.

Robert A. “Bob” Johnson, Sr., 69, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at his home.

Born Sept. 20, 1956, in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Owen Johnson and the former Gloria Woodhouse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Siri L. Toner, on May 25, 2018. They were united in marriage on Oct. 28, 1989. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Fuller; and two brothers, Gary and Mark Johnson.

Bob was a 1974 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and was an avid hunter.

For many years, he was employed by Thomas Block Company, then Leonard Block Company and was still employed by Jersey Shore Block.

Bob is survived by a son, Robert A. (Jedta) Johnson, Jr., of Jersey Shore; daughters, Megan M. (Kenny) Vail, of Jersey Shore, and Amanda L. Darchangelo, of Florida; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, David B. Johnson and James (Shirley) Johnson, both of Jersey Shore, and Kenneth W. (Jennifer) Johnson, of Rauchtown; and sisters, Connie Cline, of Linden, Gloria “Ann” (James) Lehman, of Salladasburg, Mary Jane (Bryan) VanEmon, of Avis, and Shannon M. (Mark) James, of Red Rock.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening, Feb. 2, 2026, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Welker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
