Alvin Ronald ‘Ron’ Martin
ALVIN MARTIN
Alvin Ronald “Ron” Martin, 77, of Mifflinburg, and recently a resident of RiverWoods Senior Community, Lewisburg, passed away unexpectedly and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, surrounded by his family on Jan. 29, 2026.
Born at home on Feb. 20, 1948, in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Alvin Martin and Esther (Good) Martin.
On May 2, 1970, he married Mary Ann Ranck, who preceded him in death on July 15, 2023. Together, they shared 53 years of marriage and devotion.
Ron was a lifelong farmer. In 1984, he purchased a farm in the Nittany Valley, where he farmed with dedication and excellence for more than 35 years. His strong work ethic and love for the land were evident to all who knew him, and he worked hard to provide well for his family.
He was a faithful member of Harvest Bible Church. Following the passing of his beloved wife, Ron found joy and purpose in serving others by mowing the church lawn and baking pies. He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Pine Creek and, most of all, spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, John Allen Martin, of Belleville, and his wife, Twila, and Christine Brubaker, of Mifflinburg, and her husband, Curt; grandchildren, Annemarie Martin, Carson Brubaker, Kellon Brubaker and Luke Brubaker; and his brothers, Ivan Martin and his wife, Jeri, Wilmer Martin and his wife, Elva, and Dale Martin and his wife, Marian.
Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Harvest Bible Church, with Pastor Paul Yoder officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Burial will follow in Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Bible Church.
