Kathy Gottshall

In loving memory of Kathy Gottshall, 61, of Lock Haven, Pa. Kathy Gottshall passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 15, 2026.

Kathy was born on Aug. 5, 1964 to Rose and Thomas Pursel. She left behind a legacy of love, laughter and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose heart was always centered on the people she loved most.

Kathy was truly full of life. She was funny, vibrant and the undeniable the life of the party. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a gift for keeping everyone smiling, no matter the circumstance. Wherever Kathy was, joy followed. She brought warmth into every room and had a way of making ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Colton Gottshall, with whom she built a beautiful life rooted in partnership and love. They enjoyed working side by side at their campground, welcoming others with the same warmth and hospitality that defined their home. Kathy treasured doing life alongside her husband — whether it was working together, planning family gatherings or simply enjoying each other’s company. Kathy was the proud and loving mother of five children, Paul (Kim) Croak, Amber Gottshall, Shena Myers and her fiance Dustin Calhoun, Amber (Daniel) Watkins, Cortney (Rocco) Zannella. She is also survived by her sister, Laura Sementilli, and brother, Thomas Pursel Jr., as well as her father and mother-in-law, Warren (Jackie) Gottshall, and brother-in-law, Curt (Katya) Gottshall, and their children Cole, Clark, Chole. She was the adoring sister-in-law, aunt and grandmother of ten grandchildren, Jocelyn, Blake, Alexander, Malachi, Damien, Jack, Jesse, Braelyn, Camren, Breanna. The children knew her as their steady source of wisdom and guidance. She was always there to offer advice, encouragement and reassurance, no matter the time of day. She was their safe place and their biggest supporter.

Family meant everything to Kathy. She especially loved family get-togethers and made every holiday feel magical. From thoughtful details to the way she welcomed everyone with open arms, she made sure every person who walked through her door felt loved, valued and at home. Her grandchildren will forever remember her warmth, her laughter and the way she made each of them feel deeply cherished.

Kathy will be remembered for her generous spirit, her vibrant personality and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone around her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in her husband, her children, her grandchildren and all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of love in action, and her memory will forever be the heart of every future gathering.
