Margaret L. (Miksich) Himes

Margaret L. (Miksich) Himes, 85, of Castanea, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, at Lock Haven Senior Living.

Born April 13, 1940, in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Mary (Petty) Miksich.

Margaret was married to Lloyd E. Himes, who died Sept. 9, 2015. They celebrated 52 years of marriage together.

She was Catholic by faith.

Margaret enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Ryan P. Himes, of Castanea; and two daughters, Sherri A. (Tommy) McKinney, of Avis, and Dana L. Himes, of Dunnstown; two grandchildren, Matthew and Haley; a great-granddaughter, Jocelyn; and three sisters, Irene Miksich, of DuBois, Maxine Perry, of Virginia, and Deborah Marshall, also of DuBois.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.

Burial will be private at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa.
