Norma L. Long

NORMA LONG

Norma L. Long, 86, of Lock Haven, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at Susque-View Home, Lock Haven.

Born Dec. 20, 1939, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Norman J. and Verna Mae Spotts Miller.

Norma was married to Melvin F. Long, who preceded her in death in 1998.

Norma was the favorite waitress of many at a variety of local restaurants. Along with her husband she also owned and operated the Country Lounge Restaurant of Beech Creek.

Norma was an avid reader and loved watching football, especially Penn State.

She is survived by her loving companion of over 20 years, Charlie Grieb, of Lock Haven; five children, Cindy (Steven) Miller, of Lock Haven, Sheila (Jim) Russo, of Mill Hall, Stephanie (Robert) Scott, of York, Wally (Angela) Long, of Lock Haven, and Jeff (Amy) Long, of Mill Hall; a sister, Judy (Reg) Kuntz, of Zion; a sister-in-law, Barbara Long, of Jersey Shore; a brother-in-law, George Kauffman, of Maryland; 12 grandchildren, Sonya, Matt, Michele, Brandon, Carley, Jeffrey, Cristina, Michael, Matthew, Erin, Nick and Claire; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews she cared for dearly.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Miller; and a sister, Barbara Jean Kauffman.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at 11 a.m., at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Pastor Mark Riley officiating. Private burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall, Pa.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Clinton County SPCA or the Annie Hallenbake Ross Library.
