Sandra Kay Duck
Sandra Kay Duck
Sandra Kay Duck, 87, of Mill Hall, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born Aug. 29, 1938, she was the youngest of three daughters to the late Charles and Mary Heckman Kreidler.
After graduating from Lock Haven High School in 1957, Sandra married Samuel J. Duck, who survives.
She was employed at Woolrich Woolen Mills and Corning Glass Works of State College.
Sandy’s great work ethic came from the time she spent in her younger years in her parents’ greenhouse and selling Christmas trees for her grandfather, Gene Heckman.
Her love for the outdoors and gardening continued throughout her life — especially tending to her small greenhouse and flowerbeds and mowing the grass.
Sandy’s feisty attitude was known by many and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband, Sam, she is survived by a son, Craig A. Duck, of Milton, Fla.; two granddaughters, Carla Deering, of Pensacola, Fla., and Patrisha Hollenbeck, of Nixa, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Grayson Deering and Shaeleigh and Keiara Hollenbeck; a brother, Stephen C. (Cynthia) Kreidler; four nephews, Todd and Beau Kreidler and Alvin and Mark; and a niece, Mona Page.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at 1 p.m., at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Loganton, Pa.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Salona United Church of Christ.
