Christine L. (Gephart) Eminhizer

Christine L. (Gephart) Eminhizer

Christine L. (Gephart) Eminhizer, 73, of Pine Creek, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at her home. Her husband and both children were all together that evening.

She was married on June 30, 1973, to Cy K. Eminhizer, Sr., who survives. They enjoyed spending time together and sharing laughter. They would have celebrated 53 years of marriage this June.

Christine was born on Jan. 2, 1953, in Jersey Shore, and was the daughter of the late Richard and Doris L. (Lentz) Gephart.

She graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1971. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church.

Christine had worked at Tetley Tea for 28 years in various positions as well as machine operator.

Chris and Cy did some farming for a few years with a large garden, a few cows and chickens. They also liked to go dancing back during disco days and into the 80s-90s to contemporary music. Family picnics and water skiing at the river lot were the highlight of the summer when her parents were still with us.

She was the best mom a child could ever want. She loved living on Pine Creek, which was her happy place. She enjoyed baking, listening to music and mowing her grass along the creek. Most of all, it was her family that she wanted to be with. Chris was looking forward to her grandchildren finishing high school and college. Chris and Cy were considering taking a trip to see eldest grandchild’s California dream and being reminiscent of their past travel.

She was a fun person with a quirky sense of humor. She was also a very kind and caring person with a big heart. Her family was not finished with her, and she left us too soon.

In addition to her husband, Cy, she is survived by a son, Cy K. Eminhizer, Jr. (Amber), of Salladasburg; a daughter, Jill M. Eminhizer, of Jersey Shore; nine grandchildren, KC Quinn (Dawson Ruch), Daniel R. Splain, Jr. (Danny), which she will meet in heaven, Makenna Day, Ben Schmouder (Makayla Sholder), Kylie Engdahl, Olivia Eminhizer, Natus Engdahl, Levi Eminhizer, Kolton Eminhizer and Kameron Eminhizer; a brother, David Gephart (Suzanne), of Linden; and three sisters, Kathryn Johnson (Stan Breon), of Antes Fort, Nan-Ette “Sue” Bachman (Gary), of Nippenose Valley, and Sherry Minnich, of Jersey Shore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Glenda Burgess.

There will be a public viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, Pa., where the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Kerry Aucker officiating. Burial will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Independent Hose Company, 130 Pennsylvania Ave., Jersey Shore, PA 17740 or to the Walnut Street Christian Thrift Store, P.O. Box 616, Avis, PA 17721.
