BAIR — Ruby M. (Smith) Bair, 93, of Centre Hall, died Feb. 26, 2026. A viewing will be held today from 10-11 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Woolrich, Pa.

WERT — John Edward Wert, 87, of Lock Haven, died Feb. 27, 2026. A funeral service with Fireman’s Honors will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Burial services will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa.

HEIMER — Scott L. Heimer, 74, died Feb. 21, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m., at the Beech Creek-Blanchard Fire Company social hall, 38 Locust St., Beech Creek, Pa. This celebration is a BYOB.

MEEKINS — Ronald H. “Ron” Meekins, 89, died Dec. 27, 2025. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Salladasburg United Methodist Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

MONKS — Elzner Claire Monks, 83, of Jersey Shore, Pa., died Jan. 30, 2026. Elzner loved a good party, and the family will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 25, from 12-4 p.m., at the Moose in Jersey Shore. In his honor, the family will be having Karaoke.

STROUSE — Millie Strouse, 74, of Monument, died Feb. 16, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at Friendship Community Center, 127 Main St., Beech Creek. All family and friends are welcome.

McCUNE — Paul O. McCune, 98, of Wellsboro, and formerly of Mill Hall, Pa., died Jan. 22, 2026. A memorial graveside service will be held on June 3, 2026, at 1 p.m., at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall, Pa.

BIERLY — Walter S. Bierly, 85, of Jersey Shore, died Dec. 28, 2025. A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

KWIATEK — Pete T. Kwiatek, 74, of Green Valley, Ariz., died Dec. 19, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held in Green Valley, Ariz., at a later date.

SMITH — Rebecca Jane “Becky” (Strouse) Smith, 79, died Jan. 30, 2026. A Life Celebration will be announced in the spring.

JOHNSON — Kirk B. Johnson, Sr., 86, of Marsh Creek, died Feb. 6, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in the Johnson Family Cemetery in Marsh Creek at the family’s convenience.
