GUNSALLUS — Scotty L. Gunsallus, Sr., 72, of Lock Haven, died March 16, 2026. A funeral service will be held this evening, at 6 p.m., at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.

MARTIN — James C. “Jim” Martin, 74, of Coburn, died March 22, 2026. Family and friends will be received today from 10 a.m. until noon at Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg. The funeral service will follow at noon. Jim will be laid to rest in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.

MOWERY — Joyce Marie Mowery, 91, of State College, formerly of Lock Haven, died March 23, 2026. Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. in the Salem United Church of Christ in Coal Township. Family and friends will be received in the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

YOST — Linda Kay (Shade) Yost, 76, of Mill Hall, died March 22, 2026. A viewing will be held today from 10-11 a.m., followed by the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m., at Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Burial will follow at Swissdale Cemetery, Lock Haven, Pa.

PELUSO — Lori A. Peluso, 54, of Lock Haven, died March 17, 2026. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 28, at the Flemington Red Eye Center, 516 Canal St., Lock Haven.

WILLIAMS — Mary Ruth Williams, 71, of Lock Haven, died March 5, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 11 a.m., at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with Rev. Joseph Orr officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment will be at Dunnstown Cemetery.

WELSHANS — Gertrude M. “Trudy” Welshans, 100, of Jersey Shore, died March 11, 2026.

Services are being planned and will be announced once completed.

HERRITT — Jacqueline L. Herritt, 63, of Lock Haven, died March 14, 2026. A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

COVEY — Tracy J. Covey, 63, of Williamsport, died March 20, 2026. A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

KLOBE — Charles L. Klobe, Jr., 94, of Beech Creek and Mill Hall, died March 21, 2026. A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

MONKS — Elzner Claire Monks, 83, of Jersey Shore, Pa., died Jan. 30, 2026. Elzner loved a good party, and the family will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 25, from 12-4 p.m., at the Moose in Jersey Shore. In his honor, the family will be having Karaoke.

STROUSE — Millie Strouse, 74, of Monument, died Feb. 16, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at Friendship Community Center, 127 Main St., Beech Creek. All family and friends are welcome.

SCHARDER — Carl “Neil” Scharder, 83, of Lock Haven, died March 6, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Scharder Farm in Caldwell on May 16, from 1-5 p.m. Please share a story and a beverage with the family. The dress code is casual.

SHAFFER — Donald L. Shaffer, 81, of Howard, died March 9, 2026. 4135 Jacksonville Road, Howard. A Celebration of Life service is being planned for Sunday, May 31, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 4135 Jacksonville Road, Howard. The time will be announced later.
