Linda Kay (Shade) Yost

Linda Kay (Shade) Yost, 76, of Mill Hall, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at The Gatehouse in Williamsport.

Born April 27, 1949 in Lock Haven, a daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary J. (Watkins) Shade.

Linda was a 1967 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She enjoyed reading, crafts, crocheting, Bingo and watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke.

Surviving are two sons, James R. (Donna) Yost, Jr., of Mill Hall, and Ronald W. Yost, of Lock Haven; and a daughter Brenda L. (Terry) Rachau, of Beech Creek; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert L. Shade, Jr., of Lock Haven.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with her son, Pastor James R. Yost, Jr., officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday from 10­-11 a.m. at the funeral chapel.

Burial will follow at Swissdale Cemetery, Lock Haven.
