Richard (Dick) Bailey, Sr.

Richard (Dick) Bailey, Sr., 82, of Carroll Mt., passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Williamsport Home with his loving family by his side. He was a resident there for one week.

Richard was born in Jersey Shore, Pa., on Dec. 16, 1943, the son of the late Walter and Betty Smith Bailey Kelly and the stepson of the late John Kelly.

On Sept. 11, 1965 he married Marcella Deitrick Bailey who survives at home, after sharing 60 years of marriage. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dick, Jr. (Julie), of Woolrich, and Bill (Sue), of Rauchtown. Five grandchildren, Andrew (Olivia), Corey, Sarah, Hunter and Dylan Bailey, one step-grandson, Jake (Jena) Hoffman, one great-grandson, Mason Bailey, five step-great-grandchildren, Trace, Layne and Reese Hoffman, Rylee and Brett Ochler.

Richard retired, July 26, 2006, after 25 years at OHD Thermacore, Reach Rd., Williamsport.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors and his family.

Keeping with his wishes there will be no services.
