Sandra Hill

Sandra Hill, 83, of State College, died March 26 at home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with lung disease.

She was the author of more than fifty romantic humor novels, many of which appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. She received numerous awards for her books, which were also published in many foreign countries. A charter member of Nittany Valley Writers Network, she belonged to Novelists and Writers Inc.

A native of Lock Haven, she graduated from Lock Haven and Penn State Universities. Early in her career, she was a features writer and education editor for newspaper publications in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

She was the wife of the deceased Robert C. Hill of State College, and daughter of the deceased John and Veronica Cluston of Lock Haven. She is survived by four sons, Beau John Hill (Nicole Costlow) of Johnstown, Robert T. Hill (Kimberly Kohler) of South Williamsport, Matthew Hill (Bethany Stough) of Spruce Creek and Daniel Hill of Pittsburgh, as well as her sister Flora Drapalski and three grandchildren, Jaden, Jefferson and Max Hill.

A visitation will take place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. with Father George Jakopac officiating.

Internment will be in Spring Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
