Walter "Ed" Miller, III, 74, of Lock Haven, Pa., passed away on Feb. 27, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pa. His courageous fight during his battle with cancer was his true testimony of his faith.
He was born in Portsmouth, Va., to parents Walter E. and Mary C. (Croak) Miller, Jr. on May 13, 1951.
He graduated from Lock Haven High School. Walter served his county in the U.S. Navy -- enlisting in 1971 and serving for six years. After serving in the Navy he went on to study at Centre County Vo Tech School for small engine repair, graduating in 1977.
He worked at Mill Hall Clay Products for 33 years, LHD in Lock Haven for five years and Kohen Cleaning for nine years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Walter is survived by his wife, Janet L. (Wintrey) Miller; his brother, Steven L. (Cindy) Miller, of Lock Haven; two sisters, Mary Hope (Danny) Cupp, of Cogan Station, and Mitzi G. (George) McDermit, of Key West, Fla. Also surviving is a number of nieces and nephews; along with several great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service for Walter "Ed" Miller, III, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Burial will take place at the Dunnstown Cemetery.
