Carl E. Styers

Carl E. Styers

Carl E. Styers, 73, of Lock Haven, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Geisinger, Jersey Shore. Born Feb. 27, 1953, Carl was the youngest son of Forrest and Zetta (Shady) Styers.

Carl was a 1972 graduate of Lock Haven High School. On Nov. 25, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, the former Debra K. Stover, with whom he shared nearly 50 years of marriage before her passing in 2022.

Carl worked at Woolrich for many years. He was then employed as head mechanic at Belles Springs Golf Course, retiring only when his health required him to do so.

Carl enjoyed fishing, camping, working on small engines and shooting pool. He was a top shooter for many years in local leagues — winning numerous trophies and was always a challenge as a competitor.

Carl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. You could always count on him — if even just for a good laugh.

Surviving are his daughters, Stephanie (Christian) Reeder, of Lock Haven, and Carla (Nathan) Bloom, of Blanchard; brothers, Richard (Linda) Styers, of Avis, and Francis Styers, of Lock Haven; sister-in-law, Deanna Styers, of Blanchard; six grandchildren: Kayla (Alex) Swanson, Brach Calhoun, Carley Barner, Hailey Barner, Ethan Bliss and Cassidy Bliss; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Mia Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, Carl was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary, Forrest and Earl Styers; sister, Earlene Stephens; and sister-in-law, Jean Styers.

Carl received loving care in his final months at home from his daughters, Stephanie and Carla; grandson Brach; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Linda Styers; and sister-in-law, Kathy Dershem.

Per his wishes, there will be no formal services.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Lung Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, c/o Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
