Cathy M. (Matter) Boob

Cathy M. (Matter) Boob, 72, widow of Carl A. Boob, of Spring City, Tenn., formerly of Haines City, Fla., passed away at home on Thursday, May 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lock Haven, Pa., on Sept. 24, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Grace (Holdren) Matter Nicholas.

She was a graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton, Pa., Class of 1971.

For several years she worked as a bookkeeper for T/A Truck Stop and assisted with her husband’s business in Florida, “Carl’s Golf Carts.”

She is survived by a daughter, Corina Maher (Shawn) of Haines City, Fla., and a son, Cory Boob (Lisa), of Spring City, Tenn.; a brother, Thomas Matter, of Jersey Shore, Pa.; two sisters, Peggy Fegley, of Jersey Shore, and Sandra Stover, of Spring City, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her caretaker, Tina Lindsey, of Spring City.

Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Cara Velez.

A graveside service will be held at Tylersville Community Cemetery, Tylersville, Pa., on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wayne Wagner officiating.

The family has entrusted the services of the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, Pa.
