Donald W. Dale, Jr.

Donald W. Dale, Jr.

Donald W. Dale, Jr., 76, of Mill Hall, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Born Sept. 10, 1949, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Donald W. Dale, Sr. and Beatrice Mapstone Dale.

Don was a 1967 graduate of Lock Haven High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 until 1973. During the Vietnam War, he was honored to work with mid-air aircraft refueling operations, a role he carried out with great pride and dedication.

On Aug. 26, 1974, in Eldred, Pennsylvania, Don married the love of his life, the former Karen J. Miller, with whom he shared many cherished years of marriage.

A faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish in Lock Haven, Don appreciated the quiet and simple joys of life. He especially loved spending time at his hunting camp on Beech Creek Mountain and could often be found happily tinkering around his home and yard. Above all else, Don was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose greatest happiness came from time spent with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Karen, he is survived by two sons, Brad A. (Jessica) Dale, of Arizona, and Shaun M. (Lara) Dale, of Bellefonte; two sisters, Carole A. Fowler and Sandra K. (Glenn) McConnell, both of Mill Hall; two grandchildren, Hailey J. Dale and Ethan A. Dale, of Arizona; and his cherished grand-dogs, Poppy and Tito.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward McKeague.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 1 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 310 W. Water Street, Lock Haven, with Rev. Father James Crookston officiating.

Prior to the Mass, family and friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington.
