LOWERY — Marjorie Lowery, 91, of Bellefonte, died May 8, 2026. Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard. Burial services will immediately follow at the Hublersburg Cemetery, Hublersburg, Pa.

HANDTE — Vonda K. (Wetzel) Handte, 60, of Woodland, died May 12, 2026. Family and friends will be received this evening from 6-8 p.m. at Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Helt Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Tylersville Cemetery.

SCHARDER — Carl “Neil” Scharder, 83, of Lock Haven, died March 6, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Scharder Farm in Caldwell on Saturday, May 16, from 1-5 p.m. Please share a story and a beverage with the family. The dress code is casual.

MCGHEE — Catherine Ann McGhee, 60, of Mechanicsburg, died May 8, 2026. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 3-5 p.m., at the Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, 551 Hunter Run Road, Howard, Pa.

BOWMAN — Catherine M. “Kate” Bowman, 68, of Mill Hall, died April 19, 2026. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 1-3 p.m., at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.

CAMPBELL — Patricia L. (Stewart) Campbell, 68, of Renovo, died April 19, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, at the 7th Street United Methodist Church, 127 7th St., Renovo, with Martha Sykes officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the church one-hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at North Bend Cemetery.

GARLIN — Robert E. Garlin, 81, of Lock Haven, Pa., died April 27, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m., at the Dillsburg Brethren in Christ Church, 18 E. Harrisburg St., Dillsburg, Pa. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

SMELTZ — Robert Burns “Pete” Smeltz, Jr., 73, of McElhattan, died May 10, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 17, at 6 p.m., at Tri County Church North Central, 205 Main St., Mill Hall. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m., followed by the service honoring Pete and his life beginning at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa.
