Lois E. Rupert
Lois E. Rupert, 85, of Dunnstown, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Haven Place, Lock Haven, Pa.
Born May 15, 1940, in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine (Ruhl) Shoemaker.
Lois was a 1958 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On May 12, 1962, she married Ronald Rupert, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage before his passing on Dec. 21, 2020.
Lois was employed at Champion Auto Parts for over 40 years, retiring in 2002.
She attended Dunnstown United Methodist Church.
Lois enjoyed reading.
Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished the moments she spent with them — whether it be attending her great-grandchildren’s events, holiday gatherings, especially Christmas Eve, or simply spending time on the front porch together.
Surviving are her children, Sandy (Greg) Crays and Michael Rupert, both of Dunnstown; granddaughter, Taren (Andy) Kitchen, of Lock Haven; great-grandchildren, Madison and Vaughn Kitchen, both of Lock Haven; sister, Nancy (Larry) Habasevich, of Salona; a sister-in-law, Marian Shoemaker, of Lock Haven; brothers-in-law, Laird Confer, of Julian, and John Meredith, of California; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ronald, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher A. Crays; two brothers, Ralph (Florence) and Dale Shoemaker; her sisters, Frances Ann Shoemaker, Shirley Shoemaker, Jane (Don) Weaver and Helen Meredith; a niece, Kay Summerson; and a nephew, Jake Shoemaker.
Her family extends their gratitude to the Dialysis Center of Lock Haven, Haven Place and Reliance Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion given to Lois.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa.
Private inurnment will be at Dunnstown Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Lois’ name may be made to Dunnstown United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
