Robert Garnett ‘Bob’ Rohrbaugh, Jr.

Robert Garnett “Bob” Rohrbaugh, Jr., 78, of Beech Creek, passed away peacefully at Mount Nittany Medical Center on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Born on Feb. 14, 1948, in Stroudsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Garnett Rohrbaugh, Sr. and Marion M. (McConachy) Rohrbaugh.

On April 22, 1972, in Parsippany, N.J., Bob married the love of his life, Marlene A. Niebling, who survives at home. Together they shared 54 years of marriage filled with love, family and many adventures.

Bob was a 1966 graduate of Blairstown High School. He worked for many years as a QA Coordinator for Hoffman-La Roche before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet kindness and his ability to make friends wherever he went.

A lifelong animal lover, Bob was especially passionate about raising Holland Lop rabbits, a hobby that took him across the country and around the world for shows and competitions.

He enjoyed hunting, traveling, playing a friendly game of poker and spending countless hours “putzing” in his garage, always finding something to tinker with. Bob also loved farming and took great joy in caring for animals of all kinds.

More than anything, Bob treasured his family. In addition to his beloved wife, Marlene, he is survived by his two children, Paul S. Rohrbaugh and his wife, Sarah, of Schenevus, N.Y., and Catherine J. Levis and her husband, Luke, of Port Matilda; and five grandchildren, Jeremiah and Ethan Rohrbaugh, and AJ, Alexander and Annika Levis, all of whom brought him great pride and happiness.

Following Bob’s wishes, there will be no public service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc. in Milesburg, Pa.

An online guestbook is available for those wishing to share condolences with the family.
