Sharon A. Krauss

Sharon A. Krauss, 80, of Hammersley Fork, Pa., passed away on May 11, 2026, in her home.

Sharon was born in Renovo to Leo and Betty (Nesman) Hayes on Oct. 15, 1945.

She was a homemaker for many years as well as a manager in a jewelry store.

She was a member of the Renovo Women’s Club. She was an avid supporter of our military veterans, fire, police, ambulance associations and our school booster clubs. She also volunteered her time at Hunts for Healing and was a proud member of the Kettle Creek Music Festival.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 36 years, Leland Krauss, of Hammersley Fork. Also surviving are her three children, Mark (Deb) Minihan, of Little Italy, Shevaun (Roy Cowfer) Minihan, of Troy, Mo., and William (Billy) (Lisa) Minihan, of Farwell; her step-daughter, Caroline Krauss, of Long Island, N.Y., as well as nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two very precious great- great-granddaughters.

She is also survived by a brother, Robert Hayes, of Trout Run; two sisters, Ellen Hills, of Avis, and Betty Jean (Reed) Morton, of North Bend; along with many nieces and nephews.

Sharon loved spending time with her family. She supported her children in all of their crazy endeavors. She enjoyed watching and participating in her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. Her family was her joy and she would defend them to anyone.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling together and having family around. She enjoyed her flowers and tending to them. She lived her life well and loved bigger.

We can’t leave out her cats. She loved her cats like they were her children. She has four surviving. Katie, Polly, Daisy and Mini.

Sharon was preceded in death by both of her parents and a sister, Pamela (Steve) Richardson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the family’s discretion.
