Wade Allen Jodun, 55, of Mill Hall, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Aug. 26, 1970, in Lock Haven, he was the son of Warren and Shirley Miller Jodun, who survive in Mill Hall.
Wade was a 1988 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School and later earned a degree in Biology from Lock Haven University.
From 1987 to 2003, he was actively involved with Little League International, serving as both a head coach and umpire. Wade devoted much of his professional life to public service and environmental conservation. He worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 24 years as a Project Manager in Hadley, Mass., from 1994 until 2018. In recognition of his dedication and leadership, he was honored in 2011 as the Federal Government Executive of the Year in Western Massachusetts.
Following his return to Mill Hall in 2018, Wade remained committed to serving his community. He was a candidate for Pennsylvania’s 5th Congressional District and later served as Managing Director of the Clinton County Conservation District from 2019 to 2024. Most recently, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in Pittsburgh.
In 2023, Wade met the love of his life, Jennifer Halchak, with whom he was engaged to be married.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and fiancee, are one brother, Scott Jodun, of Flemington; and one niece, Cera Jodun, of Mill Hall.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Christine Jodun and John and Dorothy Miller.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
