Connie Lou Gummo
Connie Lou Gummo
Connie Lou Gummo, of Mill Hall, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Born on July 18, 1944, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Mae M. (Rowe) Schreckengast. Connie was raised in East End-Salona on her family’s beloved dairy farm, where she developed the strong work ethic and love of family that remained with her throughout her life. She was a 1962 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.
On Dec. 24, 1963, she married the love of her life, Ronald M. Gummo, and together they shared more than six decades of marriage devoted to one another and their family.
Connie was employed for several years at Renninger’s Cabinetry in Mill Hall before dedicating herself to her greatest calling as a homemaker. She found tremendous joy in caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and home, always putting the needs of others before her own.
A devoted follower of Christ, Connie was a faithful member of Curtin Eagle Chapel in Howard. She cherished her church family and faithfully attended weekly Bible study and Prayer Shawl ministry gatherings, where she lovingly knitted and sewed blankets to comfort those in need.
Connie found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed browsing yard sales, relaxing on the porch swing, watching birds, taking trips for ice cream and riding her golf cart to visit her children and grandchildren. She especially loved cooking and baking, and nothing brought her greater joy than gathering her family around the table.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald M. Gummo; her sister-in-law, Connie Davis; her son, Todd (Renee) Gummo; her daughter, Devini Gummo; her grandchildren, Clayton Gummo (Haley Moyer), Carleigh (Toner) Corl, Teka Schenck and Kayla Schenck; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Braxton Schenck, Mya Berry, Lukan Schenck and Ella Corl.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth E. Schreckengast.
Honoring Connie’s wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
