Eunice Loretta (Moyer) Jeffries
Eunice Loretta (Moyer) Jeffries, 88, of Loganton, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Friday, June 19, 2026.
Born on Jan. 15, 1938, at her family’s home in Logan Mills, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Myrtle (Geise) Moyer.
After graduating from high school, Eunice earned her beautician’s license.
On Oct. 11, 1958, she married Donnell M. Jeffries, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2008.
A member of Mount Pleasant Bible Church, Eunice devoted her life to living for Christ. Her faith and church were very important to her.
She was also a member of SVCC, Sugar Valley Concerned Citizens.
Eunice was a talented quilter and also enjoyed gardening as well as doing puzzles.
Most cherished, though, was her family. She loved every minute spent with her children, grandchildren and sisters, whom she enjoyed exercising — especially swimming — and shopping with.
Surviving are her children, Sherri Truckenmiller, of Loganton, Melinda (Terry) Eggler, of Loganton, Donna (Barry) Fahnestock, of Forest Hill, Donnell (Dawn) Jeffries, of Loganton, and Jonathan (Nicole) Jeffries, of Loganton; sisters, Ellen (Ed) Strouse, of Mill Hall, and Naomi English, of State College; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vera Bair and Elizabeth McCauley; grandson, Seth Daniel Jeffries; and son-in-law, John Trunkenmiller.
Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the UPMC Hospice team and Angie Geisewite for their wonderful care and support for both their mother and entire family.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, 2305 E. Winter Rd., Loganton, with Pastors Lee Pickett and Melvin Musser officiating. Private interment will be at St. Paul’s EUB Cemetery, Logan Mills.
Friends and family will be received at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
