Forrest E. Keen, 90, of Lock Haven, Pa, passed away on June 28, 2026 at Haven Place Rehabilitation and Senior Living.
He was born in Lock Haven, Pa to parents Elmer E. and Helen M. (Phillips) Keen on April 7, 1936.
Forrest served in the US Army from May 9, 1956 to June 25, 1957 and was united in marriage to Anna Mary Bauman on July 7, 1967. He had been employed at the Bloomsburg Mills and American Color and Chemical Factory, and had also worked at the former John A. Yost Funeral Home, now Gedon Funeral Homes. Forrest enjoyed hockey, playing cards, football, baseball, wrestling and loved playing pinball machines. He was also a member of the Lock Haven American Legion.
Forrest is survived by his son, David; and his daughters Tina (John) Simcox, Jody Benfield, Mae “Ellie” (Duwaine) Duck and Mary J. Confer. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale (Loretta) Keen and Glenn Keen Sr., and his sisters Wanda (Ed) Winner, Ethel (Leroy) Young, Nelma Keen, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna on Jan. 31, 2024 and his infant daughter, his brothers Wayne, Paul and his sister Shirley Talmadge.
A memorial service will be held at Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services LLC., 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Henry Packer Jr. of the New Hope Fellowship Church in Mill Hall, Pa. Full Military Services will follow. Burial will be at the Rest Haven Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services LLC., 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa, 17745.
