Harry ‘Duffy’ Butler
On May 31, 2026, Harry “Duffy” Butler, son of Thomas and Marie Butler, of Mill Hall, took his first steps into heaven, after passing peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Duffy lived a life marked by, faith, dedication to family, hard work and service to his community.
He worked for many years at Hammermill Paper Company and was also well known as a skilled farrier, serving countless families and horse owners throughout the area. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Lock Haven, Duffy faithfully served as a deacon and was respected for his kindness, humility, and willingness to help others.
Duffy is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (Watkins) Butler; daughters, Leslie (Butler) Felmlee and Ilene (Butler) Tillman; grandchildren Duffy Felmlee, Lydia (Felmlee) Shafer, Daniel Tillman and Brittany Tillman; and great-grandchildren, Alyson Tillman and Noah Tillman.
The family invites all who knew and loved him to join them for a graveside ceremony celebrating his life on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 12 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 1194 Mackeyville Road, Mill Hall, PA. Friends and family will be received at the cemetery from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
To honor Duffy’s life and faith, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 210 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven, PA 17745, in lieu of flowers.
