Larry R. Bowmaster

Larry R. Bowmaster, 77, of Lamar, Pa., passed away at home on June 2, 2026.

Larry was born in Lock Haven to the late Robert R. and Madylon (Yearick) Bowmaster on July 19, 1948.

He graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School in 1967.

Larry was a U.S. Navy Veteran, earned his associates degree as a mortician and later in life obtained his barber’s license. He owned and operated his own barber shop for the last 25 years in Lamar.

Larry is survived by his sister, Dorothy Louise (Bowmaster) Wyble, of Tioga, Pa. He has six nephews; nine great-nieces; three great-nephews; two great-great-nieces; one great-great-nephew; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, James E. Brand.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Mount Bethel Cemetery, 6031 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services LLC., 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

Memorial donations may be made to Nittany Valley Fire Company, 5101 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, PA 17751.
