Pauline Ruth Deitrich
Pauline Ruth Deitrich
Pauline Ruth Deitrich, 95, a former resident of Salona, has entered into the presence of the Lord on June 10, 2026, and has heard the words “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Pauline was born Sept. 5, 1930, on the family farm in Bald Eagle Township, to Raymond P. and Clarrissa Ruth Crebs Orner.
She and Melvin E. Deitrich were married Aug. 29, 1947, at the Mill Hall parsonage. They shared 52 years of marriage before Melvin’s passing on Sept. 4, 1999.
Polly’s work career spanned 50 years. While a student at Lamar Twp. School she worked at Herr’s Store where she met Melvin. She worked at Sylvania, waitressed at the Allegheny Creamery, worked at the A&P until the store closed and finally retired from Acme in 1995.
Pauline was blessed with wisdom and kindness. She was our rock in the time of storm, strengthening us, comforting us and carrying us through the trials of life.
She welcomed friends and family into her home for the holidays and reunions, enjoying the time together over good homemade food and conversation.
Pauline was a member of the Salona United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah, and her husband, Chester Ingram.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her son, James, in 1949; a granddaughter, Jillian Ingram; a grandson, Ian Ingram; and her sister, Mary (William) Edwards.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Sunnyside Cemetery, Bald Eagle Twp., with Pastor Tom Jones officiating.
Helt Funeral Chapel in Mill Hall is honored to serve the family.
