Bonita (Bonni) Yvonne Weston, 80, of Beech Creek, passed away on July 2, 2026.

She was born on Oct. 31, 1945, in Bellefonte, to Robert Haupt and Mary Dewitt.

Bonni was a strong-willed, determined woman who never hesitated to speak her mind. Fiercely independent and unapologetically herself, she approached life with grit, humor and an unforgettable wit. She had a way of expressing exactly how she felt, often in colorful language that could make family and friends laugh, even in difficult moments. Her honesty, resilience and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Bonni devoted her life to caring for her family, horses and her beloved pit bulls. Her family takes comfort in knowing she has been reunited with the family and animals she loved so dearly.

Left to cherish Bonni’s memory are her husband of 47 years, Richard Weston; her sons, John (Jessica) Nearhood, III, and Jamey (Joella) Nearhood; her grandchildren, Coleen, Kaleb and Lauran Nearhood and Sierra and Randy Laubach; her great-grandchildren, Cora, Grae, Tristan, Maddox, Persephone, Ryleigh, Thane and Baby Girl Kline expected later this month; as well as her beloved sister, Sandy Evans; and half-siblings, Bobby, Chris and Dawn Haupt.

Bonni was preceded in death by her mother, father, and two half siblings, Cindy and Jimmy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2 p.m., at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Bonni will be deeply missed by family, pets, friends and all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Horses of Hope may be made through the funeral home.
