Daphne Noel Vonada
Daphne Noel Vonada
Our precious baby girl now lives with the angels above.
Daphne Noel Vonada, 6 months, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Daphne was our tiny Christmas miracle, born prematurely on Dec. 24, 2025 — the beloved daughter of Joshua and Monica (Ogden) Vonada.
After spending many weeks in the NIC units at Geisinger’s Children’s Hospital in Danville and undergoing open heart surgeries at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Daphne was finally released to come home to meet her big brother, Herbert Z. Vonada. It was a joy to see Herbie’s love for his baby sister, as he expressed it frequently by tenderly caressing her and gently placing little butterfly kisses on her.
Daphne is also survived by her paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Angela and Stan Figart; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and a devoted babysitter, Brittany Barner, who along with her husband, Josh, opened their home and their hearts while caring for Daphne and Herbie.
Daphne was preceded by her paternal grandfather, Bryan Vonada.
Although our arms were only able to hold Daphne for a short time, we will hold our baby girl in our hearts forever.
Daphne captured the hearts and the love of all those who knew her. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful blue eyes, her chubby cheeks and her sweet smile.
Services will be held on Friday, July 10, at 2:30 p.m., at the Valley Mennonite Chapel in Spring Mills. Pastor Ken Freed will officiate. Daphne will be laid to rest in the Valley Mennonite Chapel Cemetery, Spring Mills, Pa.
Family and friends will be received at the Chapel on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Arrangements are being handled by the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.
