Edwina M. ‘Winnie’ Geraty

Edwina M. “Winnie” Geraty, 89, of Mill Hall, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Monay, July 6, 2026.

Born Dec. 24, 1936, in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Budd O. and Ella Mae (Brickley) Poorman.

Winnie was a 1954 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

On Aug. 20, 1955, she married the love of her life, Richard T. Geraty, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2007.

In the ’70s, Winnie worked in the cafeteria at Lock Haven High School. She then was a 911 dispatcher at Clinton County Communications Center, retiring in 1996 after 18 years of service.

She was a member of Flemington Church of Christ.

Winnie volunteered at Lock Haven Hospital and looked forward to the lunch outings with their Senior Circle.

She was part of Mill Hall Fire Company’s Quilting Club, where she showcased her quilting, sewing and knitting talents.

Most of all, Winnie cherished the time she spent with her family.

Surviving are her sons, Richard T. (Deb) Geraty and Larry D. (Sandy) Geraty, both of Beech Creek; a daughter, Sherri (Mike) Walker, of Loganton; sister, Darla Logue, of Cape May, N.J.; five grandchildren, Tania (Brad) Guthrie, Angelique Hand, Larry “Rocky” (Suzanne) Geraty, Jr., Kelly (Adam) Cross and Michael (Vanessa) Walker, Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Geraty; a sister, Sandra Koch; and a grandson-in-law, Donald Hand.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Flemington Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall, with Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Private interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
