Neven C. ‘Jack’ Myers
NEVEN MYERS
Neven C. “Jack” Myers, 100, of Lock Haven, entered into the presence of his Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family at Celebration Villa of Loyalsock in Montoursville.
Born on June 27, 1926, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Cecile (Shirk) Myers.
Jack attended the Laurel Run one-room schoolhouse before graduating from Lock Haven High School with the Class of 1946. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Guam at the 22nd Station Hospital caring for veterans.
On June 2, 1951, he married the love of his life, the former Theressa M. Bower. Together they shared many devoted years of marriage until her passing.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Jack owned and operated his own trucking business and worked alongside his father cutting and hauling timber to Hammermill Paper Company. He took great pride in an honest day’s work and the life he built for his family.
Jack was a faithful member of Flemington First Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon for many years. His strong faith was the foundation of his life and was reflected in the kindness, humility and generosity he showed to others.
In his free time, Jack found joy in painting, tending to his garden and preparing meals for those he loved. He treasured time with his family and leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faith and love that will continue for generations.
He is survived by his three children, Dean L. (Cindy) Myers, of Salona, John W. (Tina) Myers, of Lock Haven, and Judy A. (Bob) Saxon, also of Lock Haven; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Myers.
