Carl L. Beck, 87, of Loganton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, at his home.
Born Aug. 24, 1938, in Loganton, he was the son of the late Wilbur Beck and the former Evelyn Grenninger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol; and a brother, Ralph, and his wife, Lois.
He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958-1984, and later retired from the GSA in Washington, D.C., after 15 years of service.
He was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ and the Loganton Lions Club.
He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Matilda M. "Tillie" Niemiec. They were united in marriage on Nov. 26, 2001.
Also surviving are three sons, Curtis L. (Randi) Beck, of Fayetteville, N.C., Cullen L. Beck (Michael Eggert), of Thurmont, Md., and Christopher L. (Melissa) Beck, of Chambersburg; five step-children, James Spring, of Halifax, Jeannette (James) Lamey, Joyce (Randy) Spring, Joan (Larry) Johnson and Jeffrey Spring, all of Loganton; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16, at St. John United Church of Christ, 3782 Narrows Road, Tylersville, Pa.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, at the church. The Rev. Wayne Wagner will officiate.
He will be laid to rest in the Tylersville Cemetery with full military honors being conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
