Harold L. Grieb

Harold L. Grieb, 87, of Flemington, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at UPMC Haven Place.

Born Oct. 4, 1938, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Maurice and Marie "Betty" (Adams) Grieb.

Harold was a 1958 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

On Nov. 20, 1965, he married the former Dorothy A. Gardner, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage before her passing in 2024.

Harold was employed in the maintenance department at the Hammermill Paper Co., retiring after 40 years.

He was a member of Flemington First Church of Christ.

Harold enjoyed riding motorcycle, bowling and doing jigsaw puzzles. He was also a talented wood carver who was known for his Yip Stick.

Surviving are his children, Vicki (Kerry) Stover, of Flemington, and Mark Grieb, of Lock Haven; a sister, Lois (Glenn) Haagen, of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Kara and Hunter (Brooke) Stover; and two great-granddaughters, Hazel and Wrenley Stover.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dorothy, he was preceded in death by a son, Howard Grieb; and his brothers, Edward and John Grieb.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall, Pa.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
