Harry W. Stout III, 91, of Mill Hall, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, with his family by his side.
Born June 25, 1935, in Renovo, he was a son of the late Harry II and Eloise Stout. He married the former Shirley Ann Gregory and recently celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Harry was a 1953 graduate of Renovo High School. He worked for many years as an operator in the hydropulper room at the Hammermill Paper Company and was active with the United Paperworkers International Union (UPIU) Local 1787. After his time with Hammermill, Harry later worked at C-COR.
He attended Tri County Church (North Central) in Mill Hall.
Harry cherished time spent with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and loved to tend to his landscaping around the house. Harry enjoyed traveling, including trips to the beach. He was also a fan of Penn State Football.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Leeann (Michael) Renninger, of Mill Hall, and Jennifer (Kevin) Miller, of Loganton; five grandchildren, Jolene (Brian) Suth, Heath (Maria) Stout, John (Cora) Stout, Tyler Miller and Carleigh (Garen) Weaver; and 8 great-grandchildren, Petra, Mariska, Teodora, Will, Jack, Emerson, Eleanor and Adler.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Willie Stout; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13 at Tri County Church, 205 Main St, Mill Hall, where a funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Casey Redmon officiating.
A private family burial will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
