Janet M. Kinley, 78, of Lock Haven, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1947, to the late Robert L. and Betty (Collins) Basinger.
She graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1965 and worked at Woolrich Woolen Mills and the Chair Factory in Lock Haven.
Her hobbies were spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed visiting her daughter in Florida any time she could.
Janet is survived by two daughters, Michele (Shane) Higgins, of Florida, and Pauline (Joseph) Kinley, of Lock Haven; a son, James (Cindy) Kinley, of Lock Haven; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Kyle) Coleman, Jamie Kinley, Drew Higgens, Ashlee Higgins, Izick Evans, Benit Evans and Emmarie Evans; six great-grandchildren, Mahkenna, Emma, Chase, Kasen and Wilder, and Sylvia due in October; and a brother, Thomas Basinger, of Altoona;
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Basinger.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
