Mae L. Johnson, 79, of Lock Haven, Pa., passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 in UPMC Hospital, Williamsport, Pa., surrounded by family.
Mae was born in Lock Haven, Pa., to Fred and Cathryn Reeder on May 31, 1947. She went to high school at the former Lock Haven High School and then obtained her GED in 1986. She worked as a Medical Assistant for Dr. Carmen Spinney for 25 years. She retired from West Pharmaceutical in Jersey Shore where she worked for 6 years.
Mae is survived by her husband, Leonard (Joe) Johnson, Sr. of Lock Haven, a daughter, Joanie (Jeff) Walker, of Lock Haven, two brothers, Roy (Doris) Reeder, of Lock Haven and Don (Joanne) Reeder, of Lock Haven and a sister, Minnie Peters, of Beech Creek. A nephew, Todd Peters, who was like a son.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Cathryn Reeder, siblings, Jesse, Ward, George, John Reeder and Kathryn Wolfe, two step-sons – Leonard (Little Joe) Johnson, Jr and Daryl Johnson.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Pastor Don Peters of Lifetime Church, Jersey Shore will be officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Loganton, Pa.
